Many advertisers assume verification is permanent. Google’s policy says otherwise: verification may need periodic renewal, a significant account change can trigger re-verification, and false information or a violation of the financial products and services policy leads to immediate revocation and possible account suspension. This is the post-approval maintenance checklist.

1. Four official risks
| Risk | What Google says | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Renewal | May be required periodically; handle in-account notices | Check notifications and email regularly |
| Re-verification | Significant changes such as updating payment details may require identity re-verification | Assess the impact before changing payment profile |
| Revocation and suspension | False information or policy violations revoke verification immediately; the account may be suspended | Keep materials truthful and ads compliant |
| Adverse regulatory information | Adverse warnings, settlements, rulings or business complaints can also lead to revocation | Keep licences and compliance current |
2. Account changes to watch
- Payment profile: updating or replacing it is named by Google as a significant change.
- New countries: each region is verified separately; read the country page and effective date first.
- Third parties: adding or removing approved third parties means resubmitting the form; ending approval must be reported immediately.
- New accounts: evaluate manager account certification for several managed accounts.
- Landing page changes: re-check the financial products policy whenever content changes.
3. Self-check before and after launch
- Certificate status is valid in the account and every target country is verified.
- Company name and licence number match the register; payment profile matches the verified entity.
- Ads do not exaggerate returns or guarantee profits.
- Landing page discloses licence, risk warning and company details consistent with the verification file.
- Payment profile or account structure changes are reviewed first.
- Renewal and re-verification notices are handled the same day.
4. If verification is revoked or ads are disapproved
Read the reason first: is it an ad/landing page issue or a verification-status issue? Fix creatives and resubmit, or follow the re-verification notice. Suspended accounts need an appeal first. Do not open new accounts, swap domains or cloak landing pages to get around it — Google states false information or violations lead to revocation and suspension.
5. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
5.1 How often must I renew?
Google only says it may be required periodically; follow the in-account notice. There is no fixed cycle.
5.2 What happens if I change payment details?
A significant change such as updated payment details may require re-verification. Get advice before changing.
5.3 Can I reapply after revocation?
Google gives no general rule. Fix the cause and follow the notice; suspended accounts must appeal first.
